If you spot an error, or have any suggestions or questions, please leave a comment below.
Is it just me or is the table weird? If you can do 60 pushups and 60 situps and run13:20, you only get 25 points?
ReplyDeleteThat'll be 75 points. Each station has its own points.
DeleteHi I was looking through the male run times for Group 3. The timing stated should be the upper limit of the score instead of the lower as it gives a misconception that a certain timing gives more points than it should. Longer run time results in less points so it should be read from 50 pts down instead of 0 pts up.
ReplyDeleteEg on the card: 10:40 - 10:59 is 39 pts, 11:00 - 11:19 is 38 pts. MINDEF table is 10:40 - 10:49 is 39 pts, 10:50 - 11:09 is 38 pts.
My run time taken at my IPPT today is 11:13 which is 37 pts (as printed on my result slip). the card shows 38 pts.
Could you look into this? This error might have appeared on the other cards as well. Thanks.
Thank you for your feedback!
DeleteI've made some changes to the table layout to improve readability (hopefully). Now, the points are in the first column, and the rows are sorted by points in descending order; no score values were changed.
To address your concerns about the possible misconception, I've added an explicit explanation on how each row of the table should be interpreted (see the three bullet points above).
As far as I can tell, your interpretation in your comment is incorrect: For servicemen age group 3, 10:31--10:40 is 39 pts, 10:41--11:00 is 38 pts, 11:01--11:20 is 37 pts. Both the card (previous and current) and the MINDEF table are in agreement. Could you please check and let me know if I'm wrong?
Yes both cards and charts tally. I realized I overlooked the ≤ sign (less than or equal to). It now makes sense.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the modifications. It does look more like a compressed version of the MINDEF charts. I've a better idea on how to read the charts now.
Great table and presentation.
ReplyDeleteGreat table and presentation.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a great table.. Kudos for the effort to give different age grp a separate table.. I have followed this for 2 years now and it is very motivating to see how much pts i get if i ran abit more faster or do more reps etc
